The Minister of Economics visits LNK Group holding

To familiarize himself with the long-term expertise of LNK Group on construction, production, and engineering projects, the Minister of Economics of the Republic of Latvia, Daniels Pavļuts, and Deputy State Secretary of the Ministry of Economy, Gatis Ābele, visited the company yesterday. During the course of the meeting both completed and current company projects were discussed as well as development of the National Industrial Policy, about which the Minister of Economics encouraged LNK Group experts to make comments in order to facilitate its successful development and implementation.

"It was an honour to greet the Minister of Economics of the Republic of Latvia Daniels Pavļuts and Deputy State Secretary of the Ministry of Economy Gatis Ābele to our company,” says Aleksandrs Milovs, Chairman of Council of LNK Group. "Recently there has appeared all over the world a new process that might be called a new industrialization. It becomes discernible also in Latvia, e.g. by growing demand in the building of state-of-the-art multifunctional terminals,” he continues.

"This is why we highly appreciate the opinion voiced by the Minister during the meeting regarding the development of production and industrial zones and the promotion of innovation as sound grounds for the growth of the Latvian economy and the competitiveness of Latvian companies. However, implementation of intentions stated in the National Industrial Policy to secure efficient business support programs and flexible conditions facilitating attraction of foreign investors to Latvia is of particular importance,” emphasizes Aleksandrs Milovs.
