The project has reached another major milestone with the completion of the final asphalt wearing course and the successful completion of load testing—one of the last and most critical stages before the overpass is commissioned.
Alongside the paving of the viaducts, infrastructure equipment was installed, pavement restoration was carried out, safety barriers were erected, and selected utility networks were constructed.
During the load testing, eight trucks with a combined weight of up to 240 tonnes were positioned on the viaduct structures while engineers carried out precise measurements to assess the structure’s behaviour under various loading conditions and verify its compliance with the design specifications.
These works demonstrate the high level of engineering expertise, precision and close collaboration among all project partners, which are essential for the successful delivery of such a complex infrastructure project.
