Important decision for entrepreneurs
Important decision for all entrepreneurs operating in Latvia. Based on the appeals of the general partnership “LNK, RERE” the Senate of the Supreme Court made a decision to annul the decisions of the Administrative District Court that imposed an obligation on the Riga City Council to disclose, upon request, to applicants (municipal deputies and journalists) the detailed cost estimates related to the construction of the Mežaparks Grand Stage submitted during the public procurement procedure. As a result, the Administrative District Court will have to reconsider these cases, taking into account the findings expressed in the judgments of the Senate.

International players and local companies operating beyond Latvia’s market could, at some point, withdraw from participating in public procurement processes. In such a scenario, everyone would lose – the state, entrepreneurs, and citizens alike. Reduced competition in public procurement would lead to price increases and a decline in quality”.
