Riga can be proud that such festival is taking place only in the capital of Latvia and nowhere else, thereby maintaining the legend that the first Christmas tree appeared in Riga. I would like to wish each festival object’s author to be proud of his job and each visitor to feel festive spirit from objects on the “Christmas Tree Trail” and colorful, cheerful Christmas trees”, says Andris Ameriks, Riga’s vice-mayor, inviting everybody to visit the festival.
