LNK Industries JSC finishing main hydrotechnical works on 12th pier of Ventspils free port
LNK Industries JSC is finishing main hydrotechnical works on 12th pier on Ventspils free port territory – construction of the pier.
Construction is happening as scheduled and by the end of this year it is planned to finish pier’s deepening works, construction of surfacing, railroad reconstruction, and improvement of the area together with a collaboration partner - German enterprise Hochtief Solutions. Total length of the pier is 321 m and it is meant to accept “Panamax” type ships.
LNK Industries JSC and HOCHTIEF Solutions AG won a tender for construction of 12th pier on the territory of free port, organised by Ventspils free port administration. In addition to the construction of the pier itself, this extensive project includes reconstruction of sewerage-inverted siphon, reconstruction of the existing railroad and storage construction in specified area, as well as deepening of pier’s aquatorium and adjoining canal to 12.5 meters.
