“The older I get, the more sentimental I become,” says Artjoms Milovs, the chairman of the board of LNKIndustries, in an interview with Dienas Bizness,. “I devote a considerable amount of time to various charitable activities, with the most visible being our efforts to help animals, particularly cats. I have three cats at home, all rescued from the streets.”
With the support of LNKIndustries and the LNK Charity Fund, two cat assistance projects have been implemented: the REMI “Cat’s Heart” Cat Assistance Center and the LBTU – Latvian Biomedical Sciences and Technology University LLU VMF Small Animal Shelter “Cat House.”
Over the years, the LNK Charity Fund has provided individual, targeted assistance to specific individuals.
“We’ve also launched a new project called Better Together! This initiative stems from personal experiences and interactions with others. Often, those who support and help others in their daily lives are themselves elderly, underprivileged, or lonely. Whether it’s grandparents raising grandchildren, individuals caring for animals despite limited means, or parents of special needs children, our goal is to provide them with monthly food boxes containing quality products essential for daily life,” A. Milovs explains.
