The A1 Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda highway is one of the most important transport routes in Lithuania and the Baltic region, connecting the country’s largest cities and ports. To ensure more efficient and safer traffic flow, AS LNK Industries has undertaken a large-scale reconstruction of a highway section near Klaipėda, transforming it into a modern expressway.

As part of the reconstruction, two viaducts over the railway tracks are being expanded to accommodate three lanes in each direction. Additionally, a reinforced concrete bridge with a three-meter-wide pedestrian walkway has been built, improving accessibility for pedestrians and cyclists.

The project also includes upgrades to one of Klaipėda’s key transport arteries—the intersection of Baltijos and Šilutės avenues—enhancing traffic flow and reducing congestion. Construction has been carried out alongside heavy traffic without disrupting vehicle movement.

To implement the project, LNK Industries has utilized modern technologies and efficient construction methods, ensuring precise execution and high-quality results. The work has been conducted under dynamic conditions, adapting to traffic intensity and project schedule requirements.

This infrastructure project will significantly improve road safety and capacity, contributing to the economic development of Klaipėda’s port and the wider region.
