Thanks to the reconstruction of Daugava Stadium, the number of spectators able to enjoy the Latvian Song and Dance Festival, as well as various sporting events, has now doubled. The new stadium can accommodate up to 10,461 spectators on the stands, and the total area of the indoor premises has grown to 5,000 square metres. The facilities include locker rooms for athletes, training rooms for athletes and dancers, a gym, a doctor’s office, facilities for physical therapy and doping control, halls for conferences and exhibitions, a recreation area, a VIP zone and a media room.
