Reconstruction Works of the Vessel-Mooring Berth of the Freeport of Ventspils Authority are in Process

The Freeport of Ventspils authority continues the reconstruction of the vessel-mooring berth, which was launched in September 2014 by LNK Industries Group general partnership that consists of "LNK Industries" JSC and "Latvijas Tilti" JSC. 

Currently the final installation of new sheet piles is being performed, as well as active concreting of the new superstructure; in parallel with that, covering installation works and power supply works are being executed.

The reconstruction project involves both disassembly of the existing berth’s equipment, superstructure and backfill, and construction of the new superstructure, concreting, as well as construction of the new engineering communications and improvement of territory adjacent to the vessel-mooring berth. An automobile parking lot, lighting, power supply and a recreational area with decorative elements will be constructed for needs of the berth.

Berth reconstruction works are scheduled to be completed in the summer of 2015.

The reconstruction works are carried out based on the technical project "Renovation of the vessel-mooring berths of the Freeport of Ventspils authority". The work is executed and funded within the project that is being implemented in accordance with the additional activity "Infrastructure development of major ports within "Motorways of the Sea" of the Operational Programme "Infrastructure and services". The project is being implemented under order of the Freeport of Ventspils authority.
