LNK Industries Indoor Football Cup for Youth
The LNK Industries Indoor Football Cup for Youth brought together nearly 500 participants.
Held at the Salaspils Sports Hall across three parallel parquet courts, the tournament welcomed almost 500 young athletes, making it the largest one-day event ever organized by the Riga Football Federation (RFF) in terms of participant numbers.
Organized by RFF and co-financed by the Latvian Football Federation (LFF) and LNK Industries, the competition featured teams from 16 youth football clubs in the Riga region across three age groups—players born in 2012, 2013, and 2014.
“Football and indoor football are our passion, and supporting youth sports has always been one of our priorities. Seeing so many enthusiastic young players in one place is truly inspiring. We are delighted that the LNK Industries Indoor Football Cup for Youth has become a platform where young athletes improve their skills and embrace an active lifestyle and the joy of playing together. This tournament proves how important such initiatives are for both sports development and youth engagement in the community,” emphasized Kaspars Ratkevičs, Board Member of AS LNK Industries.
The tournament aims to provide youth football clubs in the Riga region with the opportunity to compete free of charge during the winter season and to determine the strongest indoor football clubs in Riga.
