Progress continues at RIX Riga Airport for Rail Baltica!
We’ve completed 3 of 15 overpass supports and are advancing construction on the remaining ones for the future Rail Baltica Latvia railway track towards Riga.
The next milestone: connecting the supports with 3-meter-high, corrosion-resistant steel beams, positioning the railway 13 meters above ground across the airport area.
AS “LNK Industries” is carrying out the construction work as part of the consortium “BSL Infra,” which includes the Austrian company “Swietelsky AG” and Latvian construction companies: road construction firm SIA “Binders,” and one of the largest construction companies in Latvia, AS “LNK Industries.”
The Rail Baltica railway station at Riga Airport will be the first high-speed rail and air transport connection hub in the Baltics.
