The project “Breakwaters of the Port of Klaipėda and Reinforcement of the Curonian Spit Slopes”, implemented by LNK Industries, has been awarded 2nd place in the “Best Building in Latvia” 2024 competition in the Engineering Structure category.
We are proud that this complex and technically demanding project, carried out outside Latvia, has received high recognition from industry professionals.
As part of the construction works at Port of Klaipėda, LNK Industries implemented three significant development projects, including the construction of two retaining walls for the pier structure and the installation of an anchoring system, which completed the Southern Breakwater reconstruction. More than 300 meters of an underwater wall were built using steel pipes drilled into the breakwater structure, along with an underwater anchoring system for the retaining wall spanning over 120 meters.
All works were carried out from floating platforms 24/7 and were completed within the set deadlines.
